get. This increase in the army estimates follows the decision earlier this year to reintroduce conscription, despite the limit imposed oir the Austrian army contained in the Treaty of St. Germain. Strong protests were received from the Little Entente, States. When the first class of recruits was called to the colours it was not possible for the army to accept them all owing to the limit of the army budget.
