This is the first painting of King Edward VIII in admiral’s dress and wearing the Garter mantle, to be shown. The group includes Mr. Hugh Riviere. Mr. George Harcourt, R.A., Mr. T. C. Dugdale, A.R.A., Mrs. Flora Lion, and Sir John Lavery, president of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. The picture was painted for the Master Mariners Guild.
