"I saw wealth and prosperity _ everywhere I turned in England," said Mr A. Wright, a former Commissioner of Police in New Zealand, who arrived at Lyttelton on Sunday by the Wairangi. Mr. Wright said that money was being spent freely. Asked what was the opinion at Home regarding possible war. he said the people there did not appear to expect war at present. At the same time the munitions and aeroplane factories were working night and day. The general opinion was that tho League of Nations was a failure, and the British Government was determined to be in a position to dictate if necessary. In this the Government had the country's support.
