TOLAGA BAY NEWS
PARISH CARD EVENING (Herald Correspondent.) Last night, despite other attractions, there was a good attendance at the Parish Hall for a, combined bridge and live-hundred evening run under the auspices of the Church of England to assist the church painting fund. Those present thoroughly enjoyed the play, at the conclusion of which a delicious supper was served by the ladies. In Lhunking the players for their support, the vicar, the Rev. N. F. Benham, suggested that they might like a continuance of the evenings, and it was decided unanimously to hold a fortnightly series, the next gathering to be held on Wednesday, October 14. Prizes at the bridge tables were won by Mrs. G. A. Moore and Mr. A. Gilder, while Mrs. R. Bedstone was the winner at five-hundred. Those present included Mesdames P. M. Burgess, N. F. Benham, G. A. Moore, F. Appleton, B. A. Mace, F. J. Lawrence, A. Sharpe, H. 0. Fraser and J. Murphy; Misses K. Beid, N. Lincoln, M. G. Holmes. R. V. Pryde and P. Lipsett.
