At the Kensington races, the Encourage -Stakes resulted : Cerne Alubas, 7.13 ‘Wallace), I; Amusing, 7.11 (Callinan), 2; Menu; 8.7 (Cox); 3. Sixteen started. Won by a head and a length. Time, 2.10j —a race record, Idavale was unplaced in the Three and Four-Year-Old Handicap. Prince Pombnl and Cherry King wore unplaced in the Flying Handicap.
