“The growing evil of hoardings” was discussed l>v the Wellington Beautifying Society, which is seeking some means to have restrictions placed on their erection. Members decided to seek the cooperation of kindred societies and invito the public, to support advertisers who refrain from using countryside hoardings.

Tho general opinion was that some of the prettiest views .and stretches of landscape had been marred ! b.v the protrusion of advertising hoardings.
