EMBARGO ON GOLD SWITZERLAND ACTING LONDON, Sept, 30. A message’ from Berne states that the Lower Chamber of the Switzerland Parliament, by 99 votes to' 60, approved (lie Government’s action in devaluing (ho Swiss franc and imposing a temporary gold embargo. A Tokio message says that the Japanese Government has decided not to alter Japan's currency policy and the purchase price of gold. Regarding negotiations with China, the Foreign Office spokesman says Japan is demanding the eradication of all anti-Japanese agitation and a readjustment of Sino-.lap relations. PASSED BY SENATE (Reed. Get. 1, noon.) PARIS, Sept. 30. The Senate has passed the devaluation clauses.
