DAMAGED MATUA.—Extensive damage was done to the Union Steam Ship Company 's Matua when her stern struck a reef at Aitutaki, Cook Islands, on September 15. The full extent of the damage was revealed on Saturday when the vessel was docked at Auckland for inspection, The rudder and both propellers were damaged.
