Men Settle a Question

r'ONSCRIPTED into voting, 300 male voters at one of the Hollywood studios balloted in favour of the new Alice Faye. Miss' Faye was quite pleased with her new shade of brown hair, which she calls ‘‘amber blonde,” but she wasn’t quite certain that it was as becoming us her lighter tresses were. So tho pretty New York singer and dancer decided to let the men settle the problem for her.

The day she began work in "Sing, Baby, Sing” she distributed 300 papers to actors, directors, writers, cameramen, electricians, and carpenters. ‘‘Do you like my amber blonde hair?” the ballot said, simply. A total of 272 out of the 300 voted "Yes.”

(Above), Grace Moore’s charming voice is heard again in tho musical romance* “The King Steps Out,” in which Franchot Tone is also starred. (Right) “Mr. Deeds” leaves Mandrake Falls to go to town. A scene from the amusing comedy, “Mr. Deeds Comes to Town,” with Gary Cooper in the stellar role, supported by Jean Arthur, H. B. Warner, and Ruth Donnelly.
