(Herald Correspondent, i Following a cold snap in Wniroa on Tuesday there was a lignt, frost on Wednesday morning. Mrs. 11. L. Taylor presided at, the monthly meeting of the Clydebank branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers' Union. The final arrangements for the celebration of the birthday of the division were made, and a' report of tbe recent conference was well received. The monthly competition; a plate of pikelets, resulted : Miss N. Taylor, 1 ; Mrs. 11. Taylor, 2; Mrs. J. ..ovd, 3. Mrs. Mcßimiie was the judge. judgment summons orders were- made in the following cases in the Wniroa Alagi.M rate’s Court yesterday:—V. E, Winter and" Son, Limited, v, W. lidwards, £l9 18s 6d, to he paid at the rate of £2 per month ; same v. Jack Hawkins, 2s, to lie pjiid at the rate of 10s per month.

Whyte, Lucknow street, Wairoa, and her 'small granddaughter, Patty Whyte, who have been visiting Mrs. Colley, Napier, have returned home.—Miss L. Perry, Remuera, Auckland, who has been staying in Gisborne, visited Wairoa. on Tuesday.—Mrs. C. E. Moorhouse, Christchurch, is staying with her son in Queen street, Wairoa
