DIED AFTER INSECT BITE
LONDON, Aug. 17. Following a bite on the arm by a horsefly, Herbert Allen Laxton, 52, a builder's labourer, of Titchficld, Hants, died in Portsmouth Hospital from blood poisoning. At the inquest on Saturday a doctor said that, he had never heard of a .similar case. lie did not think it was the actual bite which proved fatal. Either some organisms had got into the wound or the horsefly was contaminated.
A verdict of death by misadventure was returned.
