OPRISONER AT LARGE

ESCAPE FROM WAIKUNE WIDE AREA SEARCHED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. There is no trace of John William Graves, a prisoner who escaped from the Waikune prison camp on Sunday afternoon, nor is there any indication of his whereabouts in spile of an organised search by parties of warders and police. The country between the National Park and Ohakune and across to Tokaanu is being combed by searchers, and all roads in this area are under close surveillance.
