LOSS OF SUPERANNUATION PETITION TO PARLIAMENT (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this ,day. A petition from the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and Mr. F. E. Hunt, which is a sequel to retrenchment in the Railway Service, was reported on to the House of Representatives yesterday by the Public Petitions Committee. The petitioners asked that legislation be passed providing full superannuation for i-ailwaymen who w:ere compulsorily retired at an earlier age than normal, their pension being actuarily computed at a lower basis. The committee recommended the request to the Government's favourable consideration.
