NEW ZEALAND ELECTED VOTING AT GENEVA APPLAUSE BY ASSEMBLY (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 29, 11.40 a.m.) GENEVA, Sept. 28. The ballot for seats on the Council of the League of Nations resulted:— Bolivia, 49 votes. New Zealand, 48 votes.

Sweden, 4S votes. Each of the three nations named was elected to the Council. The Assembly warmly applauded the president’s congrut nla t ions.
