Manchosier Unity Oddfellows, Loyal Gisborne Lodge. 6057, held its fortnightly meeting last night in the J’atutalii Hall. A inis and several private cars carried a large number of members front Gisborne, but the .attendance of Patutuhi members was not so large as at the previous meeting there, when it was di(limit to secure seating accommodation for all desiring to.be present.
Town members expressed their great pleasure in being able to visit l’atutalii again, and the country mom liers, particularly tiro. Schroder, were complimented on the arrangements made.
The secretary, Bro. 0. 11. Ambridge, P.P.U.M., and Bro. P. Hchw.ube, I’.G., referred to the days when a separate lodge flourished tit Patutuhi, but it was dosed after the war and members absorbed into the Gisborne lodge. The chief business of the meeting was an initiation ceremony, for ■whim the conductors were Sisters A. <!. Niven, P.CL, and XL \V. Wallen.
The secretary reported that the pre sen tilt ion to AT r. .John McLeod, di triet secretary, on his attainment o GO years’ membership, would talk place in Auckland on October 17, an ill! lodges were asked to bit repre seated.
The sick visitors/ reports showed a number of members on the sick list.
