COMING TRADE TALKS

DOMINION AND BRITAIN MR. NASH GETS READY REPORT ON INDUSTRIES (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. A complete investigation of New Zealand’s secondary industries is being undertaken by a committee appointed by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, with the object of equipping him for the coming negotiations with the British Government for a trade agreement. The* committee consists of Sir Francis Frazer, the. chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture, several departmental officers, two economists and two members of Parliament, Messrs. W. J. Lyon (Waitemata) and C. M. "Williams (Kaiapoi). The report will cover tho fluctuations of imports and the volume of trade diverted from Britain to Australia mainly owing to the exchange advantage to tile latter, will be completed before the Minister leaves for England on October 13.
