OBITUARY

MRS. M. McCOMVTLLE A resident of Gisborne for many years, Mrs. Kllen MeConville, died on Saturday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. .1. Gurry, Papatoetoe. Auckland, aged 75 yeais. The deceased was the Widow of Mr. -Michael MeConville, who for many years was die engineer of the L’nion Steam Ship Company’s tender s.s. U'aihi, which preceded 1 die s.s. Tuatea in Iho company’s service at Gisborne. The late. Mrs. MeConville came from County Clare, Ireland, and during her residence in Gisborne she was an active worker for St,. Mary’s Church. About £0 years ago she moved to Auckland, where she had resided ever since. Her death followed a short, illness. Deceased leaves a grown-up family. The interment, took place at Maknrnka cemetery yesterday.
