WAIROA FAREWELL
KEEN CHURCH WORKER PRESENTATION TO MRS. MOLES (Herald Correspondent.) A large number of friends of Mrs. IT. P. Moles assembled at St. Paul’s,Parish Hall on Friday night to bid farewell to her prior to licr departure for Gisborne to join her husband there. 'Hie Von. Archdeacon Butterfield, on behalf of the people of the parish and others, presented Mrs. Moles with a handsome silver tea set and a cheque, the gifts being accompanied by a high tribute to the work of Mrs. Moles during the nine years she had been living in the parish. A very pleasant evening was spent, a varied programme being presented by Miss Edsor, vocal solo, Misses Alma- Baleluffe, Joyce Tngoe, and Shirley Jones, dances. Messrs. Douglas Brown and Mervyn Wisheart were responsible for the programme, whilst, Mr. E, Wilson presided at the piano. After supper three hearty cheers were given for the guest of the evening and the singing of “Atild Lang Sync” closed a- very pleasant function.
