The winner had a handicap ,of four minutes, the second man one of six minutes and the third man a handicap of nine minutes.
Tho fastest lime was put up by O. Disley (Wellington), who, from scratch, did the journey in 2hr. "U min. K'.see. ',). Williams (Napier), also off scratch, put up the noxr best performance in time, being a fifth of a second behind Disley. A heavy north-west; wind made the i.'eo a gruelling one.
