SIR RICHARD LINTON AWAY FOR 40 YEARS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Ho was present at Ihe christening of the Awatea, and said that Viscount and Lady Bledisloe asked him to give their love to the New Zealand people.

Sir Richard leaves on. Friday for Wellington, and goes from there to Palmerston North, which city he left 40 years ago next month.
