Gradually the 40-hour week is being introduced in the Wellington Public Hospital and ill certain departments it is already in operation. The electric fountain which lias been donated to the people of Napier by Mr. Tom Parker, should arrive in the Dominion from New York in about five weeks. Preparations for the installation of the elaborate equipment have been commenced and a start will be made shortly with the formation of the miniature lake in which the fountain is to titand.
