'STRENGTH TO STRENGTH'

NEW ZEALAND LABOUR LONDON PRESS EULOGY HIGH EXCHANGE BENEFIT [Elec Tol. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Sept. 26, 3 p.m.) I.OX DON, Sept. 25. The Labour newspaper, the Daily Herald, in a leading article on the economic recovery of New Zealand says Mr. iS'uvage and his colleagues arc going from strength to strength. "The work of this young- Labour Government begins to capture world attention." says the Herald. "If is well on the way towards repeating the economic triumph achieved by the masterly Socialists of Sweden.

"The programme is not dissimilar to M. Blum's, but Mr. Savage's dinieulties arc infinitely less than M. Ilium's. Friends of both Governments have no doubt that the main explanation is that the. free devalued New Zealand 1 pound gives Mr. Savage opportunities and advantages, which the fixed over-valued franc is denying to M. Blum."
