THIS WEEK’S MEETING (Herald Correspondent.) A meeting of the Motu Rugby Suli I iiion was held in Maiawai this week. Present : Messrs. A. McKay, chairman. F. McLean. 0. Clayton-Greene, R. Beets, G. Korte, It. Mortleman. ami G. H. Phillips, lion, secretary. Beyond the passing of accounts and correspondence the main .business of the meeting was the finalising of arrangements for the annual sub-kunon ball, to be hehl in Matawai early next month. It was stated that everything was well m hand. Mr. McKay made a report nil the teams which travelled to \\ aiko'iu ami llangaroa sub-unions, lie expressed appreciation of the conduct of the play Pi's, both on and oil the field 1 , and considered that under the circumstances they bad acquitted themselves well in both games. All that was lacking was a little strengthening in the forwards. Tbe following trophies for the season will be presented at tbe annual ball : Ganiton Gup, for the winners of tbe Motu Rugby .Sub-Union competition, won by tbe Kovanga Club; Good Cup. for tli'e soven-a-side tournament, won by tbe Motu club.
