.RE-ISSUE OF LICENSES CLUB'S RECOMMENDATION UNANIMOUS DECISION In the course, of a general discussion on racing topics at the annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Turf. Club yesterday the committee of the club was strongly recommended to send on to the district, committee the names of two trainers who were disqualified many years ago lor racing misdemeanours, with a proposal that they should be given licenses to train again. The matter was raised by air. \\. u. Sherratt, who mentioned the name ol a local trainer who was disqualified A years ago on a charge of training for a bookmaker. He considered that the time had come to lift the penalty oil the man. The proposal found general endorsement, and Mr. D. J. Barry declared that the man had paid his penalty tor his misdemeanour, and should not be punished for life. (Applause.) Mr. P. W. Rousfield mentioned another'former trainer's name in the same connection, and said that he. too, had been disqualified long enough ago to justify at this stage the re-issue ot his
