Assisted immigration to New Zealand is almost at a. standstill. The Hon. 11. T. Armstrong, as Minister of Immigration, said iu an intervjew in Christchurch that last year only one person had been helped into the country, and that this year he was considering two cases. The Minister said that they were only cases of people whose relations were already established in the Dominion. The Government had given no consideration to immigration.
