WORKING WITHIN YEAR AUSTRALIAN OPINION SYDNEY, Sept. 25. Aboard the Awatea, which left'Sydney for Auckland to-day, are 40 passengers from the Ormonde, which arrived to-day after being delayed in Twofold Ray owing to a fire in one of her holds, and five' members of the" Sydney Chamber of Commerce, including Professor T. Hvtton, who is attending the federation of Chambers of Commerce at Wellington, and also, the .. Australian Minister of Defence, Sir Arehdale Parkhill, who will attend the air mail conference. Interviewed ibefore departure. Sir Arehdale expressed the opinion that the trans-Tasman air service would be in operation within 12 mouths.
