Mrs. C. S. Saunders is visiting hei mother, Mrs. J. C. Ryan, Waiohika.
The appointment of Dr. Rosa. Collier as assistant medical superintendent has been agreed upon by the Waihi Hospital Board. Mr. A. E. Khull, late of the staff of Messrs. Adair Brothers, Limited, lias secured a position in. Boards, a Hastings drapery firm, and will leave Gisborne to-morrow morning for Hawke's Bay. Recent guests at the Masonic Hotel include Mrs. M. E. Hain, Messrs. L. H. Thompson, A. L. Greonbury, N. J. Campbell, H. Fogarty, R. Crowder and C. Huggett, Auckland; Mr. and Mrs. Hanlon, Messrs. B. McCabe, F. Mitchell, H. Olaridge, and C. B. Lempriere, Wellington; Messrs. G. L. Fraser, S. B. Rudland and H. Vincent, To Araroa; Mr. and Mrs. H. Bennett, Palmerston North; Mr. H. D. Lylian, Wairoa.
Two brothers, old Oamaru boys, have received promotion at the same time. Mr. It. D. Wilson has been appointed postmaster at Blenheim after some years as postmaster at Morrinsville, and Mr. John M. Wilson, who is at present rector of the Wyndham District High School, has been appointed headmaster of the Maori Hill School, Dunedin.
