Writing to the monthly meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board, the Director-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt, said that it had been decided that the use of the King's name in connection with institutions should be confined to those of outstanding national character, and therefore the board's retiuest that the name of the old people's home at Awapuni be changed to King George V Memorial Home could not be granted.
