MEETING AT MATAWAI
A LARGE ATTENDANCE

The annual meeting of the Kia Ora Dairy Company at M'atawai on Thursday took'the form, of a dinner, at which suppliers ami shareholders from ptoko, Uakauroa. Motu and Alatawai were present. The chairman of directors, Mr, Myles Doyle, presided over a large attendance. .
A vole of condolence to the relatives of the late Mr. W. MeCullpugh, a pioneer director, was passed, all standing. The chairman apologised for the absence of Messrs. (1. It. Moore and Evans, who were on the sick list. Mr. .Moore had been a regular .attender at tln> meetings at .Matawai, Mr. Doyle said, and was greatly missed by his old friends there. Hope'was expressed that bis health would improve. The report and balance-sheet were explained by the chairman, who answered several questions dealing with creamgrading ilems, to the satisfaction of the dairymen. -Mr. Doyle ami .Mr. \V. .1. bee,' Government grader and instructor, stressed the benefits of producing the best, quality cream, as butter grading over 94 now received a premium under the guaranteed price. Air. S. McKeii/ie, farm dairy instructor, reviewed the work done during the year, commenting on the improved cowsheds, machinery, and plant;, and the general progress for the betterment of the general quality of the cream. Local dairymen endorsed the good work done by Mr. McKeuzir on Choir behalf.
•Hearty votes of thanks were ptissed to the chair, the secretary, Mr. .1. 11, Sunderland, directors and stall for their good service dining the past year. .Mr. Doyle-responded briefly oil their behalf.
