CITY LOAN PROPOSALS
WELLINGTON WORKS TOTAL £349,500 SOUGHT (Tel Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A decision to seek authority from the Local Government Loans Board to put to a vote of ratepayers proposals to borrow £249,500 for city works was made at a special meeting of the City Council. The suggested works, each of which would be' subject to a separate vote, are as follows: — Rongntai aerodrome improvements: £70,000. Road, footpath and reservoir improvements: £20,000. Bathing sheds: £20,500. Branch libraries in suburbs: £15,000.
Cemetery improvements: £BOOO. Sewerage system improvements £200,000.
