CANTERBURY CONCERN (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Provision of more than £4OOO extra for. income tax is the main reason for a reduction in the net profit of Beath and Company, Limited, drapers, to £7OOB from £9OBI last year. The ordinary dividend is reduced to 5 per cent front 8 per cent. The directors report that 50 per cent of the net profit is required for the land and income tax, for which £8728 ip allowed in the accounts. The gross profit was £88,210, against £88,174 last year.
