SILENT FILMS’ FUTURE
LONDON, Sept. 1. Mr. Charles Chaplin, writing on the future of the silent film in the September Windsor Magazine, states his belief that in comedy and farce the “silent” Jilin—that is, the film with sound effects hut no dialogue—will come into its own again.
