WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
EAST CAPE MEETING 'Die East Cape Women’s Institute held its September meeting at “Wair.oa, ” the residence of Mrs. W. Walker, Mrs. Walker presiding ovei a good attendance. The competitions resulted: —Underskirt costing not more than ">s fid.— Mrs. H. Dewes, 1; Mrs. White, 2. Chocolate biscuits. —Mrs. Dewes, .1; Miss R. Kolierc, 2. Juniors, knitted article. —Miss Isa Goldsmith, 1; Miss E. White, 2. Aggregate points within six months in the junior section. — Miss Ora Ivohere, 1; -Miss Heni Kolierc, 2. The prizes were donated by Mrs. G. Goldsmith. The hostesses, Airs Walker and Miss B. Walker, provided luncheon and afternoon tea. The singing of the National Anthem brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
