APPEAL"FOR FUNDS AUCKLAND £2OOO AIM PUBLIC AND .PLAYERS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. ' An appeal to players and the cricket loving public to assist in an effort to establish a capital endowment fund was made by tin* chairman. Mr. W. 1!. Fee, at the annual meeting of (lie Auckland Cricket Association. Mr. Fee said that the sum aimed at was £2CCO which, bringing in annual income of about £IOO. would greatly assist the association in extending Its activities and help to alleviate the financial embarrassment of the past. lie asked players to assist in raising £IOOO over a, period of three years, while he was confident that the other £IOOO would be forthcoming from the public. The scheme was adopted hv the meeting.
