The driver of (he local train which crashed into the rear of the express from Lourdes at Barbes yesterday, causing the loss of 14 lives, was arrested for Jiis alleged failure to obey the signals. A woman telephonist at the Lourdes station has also been arrested for allegedly misinforming the stationmaster concerning the departure of the express.
