IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL

LATE CAMPBELL BLACKPLANE WITHDRAWN (British Official Wireless.) Reed. noon. RUGBY, Sept. 23. The funeral of Mr. Campbell Black took place in London to-day. It was attended by many distinguished representatives of civil aviation and the theatrical profession. They included feir Francis Shelmerdine, Director-General of Civil Aviation, and Mr. C. W, A. Scott.' It is announced that Mr. Black's aeroplane, Miss Liverpool, will not compete in the London-Johannesburg race. Mrs. Amy Mollison asked to be permitted to fly the Miss Liverpool in the race. The machine is the one which Mr. Black was piloting when he was killed.
