AUSTRALIAN EXPANSION CLAIMS BY NORWEGIANS LONDON. Sept. 23. The Oslo correspondent of The Times says that attention has been attracted by a 'Canberra message that Australia intends to expand her territory to include certain islands and lands south of 60 degrees. Inasmuch as that area embraces Kingi Leopold Land, Queen Astl'id Land, Ingrld Cliristensen land, and half of Queen Maud's Land, all of which Norwegian expeditions discovered, Captain Riieer Larsen. aviator and explorer, denies that Sir Douglas Mawson saw Queen Maud's Land before- he (Captain Larsen) and that Captain Lutzow Holm discovered it and flew round the coast.
