LEGACY TO HOSPITALS
£IO,OOO FOR DOMINION
Leaving a substantial sum of money to be divided among New Zealand hospitals, Mr. Frederick Allen Green died in the throat hospital, Gbl'd'oh Square, Middlesex, on July 5, I'.UO. The legacy, which was reported to the Palmerston North Hospital as being £IO,OOO, is to be apportioned according to the number of beds in each hospital. It was stated that the Supreme Court was being asked as a preliminary to determine several points that had arisen, such as "what is a bed?" and even "what is a hospital?"
