NORTH BROKEN HILL NEW MILL PROPOSED Further expansion is contemplated by North Broken Hill, Limited, which has announced that it proposes to install n new treatment mill at, its mine at Broken Hill. New South Wales. The capacity of the new plant has not been disclosed, but it is understood that it will be. in excess of that of the plant at present, in operation. The existing plant has a capacity of from 35.000 to 40,000 tons a. month. Sections of it. it, is staled, will be incorporated in the design of the, new plant. North Broken Hill is one of the most important companies of the. Barrier group, interest in which has neon greatly stimulated over the last few months by tlm firmer market, ruling for base mefcls. of which lead is the chief product of the company. Recently North Broken. Hill announced its intention of paying a quarterly dividend, and a bonus of 5s a ■share this month, being at the rale oi IC9 per cent per annum on capital.
