THE ANNUAL REPORT HIGHER GRADING POINTS (Herald Correspondent.) The season's average pay-out for the Xuhaka Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, probably will be in the region of lid per lb. Advance? averaged 10.35 d per lb.. while a further payment of h\ on butterfat supplied for the months of December to May was made on September 30, with the possibility of another -id per lb. over the same period when the complete realisation comes to hand, making an average for the season of lid per lb. In addition to this, the company has liquidated a sum of £lo7 10s over the preceding years, so that the new season's operations commence nil square. This explanation is given by the secretary, Mr. R'. Melntyro. with the report of the directors to be submitted to the annual meeting of the companion September 29*. The report gives the following statistics: —Milk received, 1,553,a511b; butterfat produced, 7-9,386.G1b: average test, 4.215; cheese made, 93 tons 12cwt. Ifiqrs. 131 b; cheese, factory weight, 209,7051 b; pounds of miik to pound of cheese, S.9§2l'|); pounds of cheese to pound of butterfat, 2.0411 b: cost of
manufacture for lb. of cheese at Xuhaka, l.Oold. The output exported was 94S crates, and the average grade for all cheese exported was 91.559, which showed an improvement of .030 over the previous year. Advances amounting to £3431 5s 3d were paid to suppliers during the season, which represented an average of 10.38 d per lb. butterfat. . The directors who retire by rotation are Messrs. James Small and R. Melntyro. Mr. Small does not seek reelection.
