FAREWELL PARTY

fcast* Saturday afternoon a most eniovable farewell party, held in the Women's Institute room, was given in honour of Miss P. Davidson, who was leaving the district to take up her duties in- the Napier Public Hospital The weather was fine and warm and numerous friends from the suirounding district attended: Games and' competitions, which caused much fun, were plaved. Competitions were won by -Mrs. vtamm Miss<?s J - Dor a " 11 an ' 1 . A " Kofte. Each received a suitable prize. i* dainty afternoon tea. Was served. after which Mrs. R- C. Beaufoy asked Miss Davidson to accept two bouquets.. Which were presented to her by Misses It* McLoughlin and Betty Boniface. Master Manning Pritchard presented a trav of handkerchiefs to the guest, of honour. Mrs. Davidson was presented with a.-bduqiiet. M.ss Davidson suit ablj replied and thanked everyone for their .•ood wishes, after which everyone joined in singing "For She s a Jolly Good- Fellow." | The afternoon was brought to a close' with the singing of "God Save the King.
