STRIKERS & POLICE CLASH

CORNWALL, Out., Aug. 18.

Strikers at the plant of Courtauld's, Canada, Limited, clashed with police in front of the plant to-day in the initial display of violence during the soven-day-old strike. .Sixteen strikers were arrested and minor injuries were suffered'by a number of the strikers during the melee.
