HITLER SUSPENDS TRIAL
COUNTS AGAINST PRIESTS CONCILIATION DESIRED BERLIN, Aug. 29. Indicating the desire of the' NiP/is to conciliate the Catholics,- Herr Hitler intervened and suspended the trial of priests charged with currency offences. ' It is believed to be due to a pastoral letter which will be read in all Catholic churches on Sunday protesting against the fiuti-Catholic •‘-measures in Germany and demanding a common front against bolshevism. The National Zeitung' takes the unusual step of publishing the text of the letter.
