TEA ROOM WORKERS

CLAIM FOR NEW AWARD (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A full day was occupied to-day with the proceedings in the Conciliation Council, necessitated by the Dominion restaurant and tea rooms workers’ dispute, created bv the New Zealand Federated Hotel and Restaurant Employees’ Industrial Association of Workers. An agreement was reached on some of the machinery clauses, but the clauses governing hours, wages, overtime and several other matters will be considered again when the proceedings resume to-morrow.
