THE impetus towards always greater perfection lias now given 1o sheer stockings the latest innovation of ringless. Sheer stockings have now this added beauty: They are free from all shadows, bands, and rings that have so often marred the smooth transparency of even the finest of hosiery. A new process of manufacture has made possible these flawless, faultless sheers. Briefly, it is effected in this way. In the case of ordinary hosiery, ,one thread is carried back and forth continuous]}-, but in ringless three threads are employed alternately, and thus distribute so widely any natural thickness in the silk that there is no possibility of bands or rings.
