JUDGE DELIGHTED
SPEECH IN AUSTRALIA NO TRACE OF ACCENT (Reed. Aug. 27, noon.) .SYDNEY, Aug. 27. In giving his adjudication in the section for Australian verse speaking at the Eisteddfod, Mr. J. F. Montague, of New Zealand, said: "I have been surprised and delighted by tho manner m which the English language has been spoken in these contests and have heard nothing of what is termed the Australian accent, about which 1 was warned before coining here."
