THE WEATHER ir =” To-day’s North Island Report Overcast conditions were reported throughout the North Island this morning. 'Light to moderate north-westerly breeezs were general. The barometer had commenced a falling movement. Temperatures at 9 o’clock were: Auckland, East Cape and Napier 58 degrees, Tauranga 59, Opotiki and Gisborne 5/, and Wellington 56. Rough seas were reported at ,Opotiki; elsewhere moderate or smooth.
