LIFE - LONG AMBITION

The fulfilment of a life-long ambition is given effect, in the will of the late Mr. John Henry' Hannan, a wellknown business man, who died on August 9, leaving over CO house properties in the city'. The mutual desire of his wife and himself was that part of their fortune should be bequeathed to the welfare of children of Auckland. Mrs. Hannan’ died two years ago. Mr. Hannan’.s will has been sworn lor probate at £OO,OOO.
Specific, bequests are made to charitable institutions, and the residuary', estimated to produce £30.000, is to be equally divided among the following: Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage, Meadowbank; Methodist Trust Board, Auckland, for children’s homos; Manurcwa Children’s Home; Anglican Orphans’ Home; Papatoetoe and Community' Sunshine Association.
