TRADE BARTER OFFER
■MACHINERY FOR WOOL GJSRMANY AND AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, Aug. 18. The German Consul-General in Sydney is negotiating with the Sydney County Council, soaking favourable consideration of a proposal for bartering £500,000 worth of Australian wool in"payment for expensive electrical equipment required for the main power house at Buunerong. The County Council is favourably impressed with the idea, on the principle that it might lead to the development of trade in Australian primary products, and the matter will be discussed with the State Government.
