The development- of hockey in stihnssociations, even to the extent, of providing financial assistance, is urged by Canterbury. The management committee draws attention to the urgent necessity of improving grounds to raise the standard of lioekev in New Zealand.
Replacement of injured playerthroughout all matches is recommended by Waikato, which also urges n reallocation of major association •boundaries'. Otago suggests that selectors for Now Zealand representative teams should visit all centres to see nominated players in action, and that the, New .Zealand Challenge Shield should be taken on tour after an association has held it for two years. The Poverty Bay Hockey Association is in accord with most of the remits mentioned above, except that (he replacement rule should operate only up to half-time.
